Motor Tax Covid-19 Service

The Cork Motor Tax Office will re-open to the public by appointment only on 9th August 2021. Appointments will be available between the hours of 9.15am-3.45pm.

Appointments can be booked online at www.yourcouncil.ie or via the Motor Tax page of the Cork County Council website- www.corkcoco.ie. Appointments can also be booked by phone at 021-4544566.

The online Motor Tax facility www.motortax.ie continues to be the primary mechanism for customers to renew their motor tax, and for a range of other motor tax related transactions.

The Cork Motor Tax Office has continued to provide a very busy and effective postal service throughout the Covid pandemic and the new appointments service will complement that offering by affording those customers who need to visit the Office in person the opportunity to do so at an arranged time. This represents a significant expansion of the emergency appointments system that operated throughout the recent lockdown.
