Section 38 - Proposed Traffic Calming Measures on the R572 Glengarriff

Road Traffic Act 1994
Pursuant to the provisions of Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act, 1994, Cork County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to introduce the following road works on the R572 Glengarriff:
- Extension and construction of footpaths on both sides of the R572 south from Glengarriff
- Proposed green areas between new footpaths and property boundaries
- Introduction of Ghost hatching at sharp bends
- and all associated works.
Drawings and particulars indicating the proposals are available for inspection at Cork County Council, Castletownbere Municipal Engineering Office, Foildarrig, Castletownbere, Co. Cork, P75 WV12 and may be inspected during normal office hours from Friday 9th August to Friday 6th September 2024 inclusive.

Submissions regarding the proposal may be made in writing to the above office or by email to CastletownbereRoadsOperations@corkcoco.ie on or before 5 pm on Monday 9th September 2024.

Bearta Molta Maolaithe Tráchta ar an R572 An Gleann Garbh
De bhun fhorálacha Alt 38 den Acht um Thrácht ar Bhóithre, 1994, tugann Comhairle Contae Chorcaí fógra leis seo go bhfuil sé ar intinn aici na hoibreacha bóthair seo a leanas a thabhairt isteach ar an R572 An Gleann Garbh:
- Síneadh agus tógáil cosáin ar an dá thaobh den R572 ó dheas ón nGleann Garbh
- Limistéir ghlasa bheartaithe idir cosáin nua agus teorainneacha réadmhaoine
- Goir Taibhseach ag cora géara
- agus na hoibreacha gaolmhara go léir.
Tá léaráidí agus sonraí a léiríonn na moltaí ar fáil lena scrúdú ag Comhairle Contae Chorcaí, Oifig Innealtóireachta Bardasach Bhaile Chaisleáin Bhéarra, Foildarrig, Baile Chaisleáin Bhéarra, Co., P75 WV12 agus is féidir é a iniúchadh le linn gnáthuaireanta oifige ón Aoine 9 Lúnasa go dtí an Aoine 6 Meán Fómhair 2024 san áireamh.
