Proposed Traffic Calming Works & Sustainable Travel Measures at Brookwood Estate on the R612 Crosshaven Road, Co. Cork.

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act 1994, Cork County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to carry out traffic management measures in the interest of the safety and convenience of road users.

It is proposed to enhance the provision of public bus services by introducing two new bus stops on R612 Crosshaven Road, at the junction with Brookwood.  The roadway will be modified to accomodate new bus cages, hardstandings, a centre refuge island and amendments to the existing drainage within the area.

Drawings and particulars indicating the proposals are available for inspection at Cork County Council,  Carrigaline MD Engineering Office, Church Road, Carrigaline, Co. Cork, P43E281 and may be inspected during normal office hours from Friday 14th February 2025 to  Friday 21st March 2025 inclusive.

Submissions regarding the proposal may be made via email to [email protected] or in writing  marked “Brookwood Bus Stop Scheme” to the Senior Engineer, Sustainable Travel Unit, Cork County Council, Floor 2, County Hall, Carrigrohane Road, Cork, T12 R2NC on, or before 5pm Friday 21st March 2025.
