New exhibition ‘Timelines Growth and Catastrophe’ at LHQ Gallery

A new exhibition ‘Timelines Growth and Catastrophe’ will open at LHQ Gallery on the 10th of January. ‘Timelines Growth and Catastrophe’ is a collaborative of eight contemporary artist weavers; Tish Canniffe, Pascale De Coninck, Heather Underwood, along with Muriel Beckett, Frances Crowe, Lorna Donlon, Terry Dunne, and Catherine Ryan.

Full Midleton Youghal Greenway to Open to Cyclists and Walkers

Cork County Council has announced that the second and final phase of the Midleton Youghal Greenway will open to the public on Thursday, the 19th of December. The new section which extends from Mogeely through Killeagh to Youghal will be open from midday.

Is é Corcaigh, atá lonnaithe in Iardheisceart na hÉireann idir Oirthear Ársa na hÉireann agus Slí an Atlantaigh Fhiáin, an contae is mó in Éirinn. Deirtear faoi Chorcaigh, ag a bhfuil os cionn 1,000km de chósta agus an dara cuan nádúrtha is mó ar domhan, gurb é 'Tearmann Mara na Éireann', é. Tá go leor nithe mealltacha ann a bhfuil cáil idirnáisiúnta orthu agus a tharraingíonn cuairteoirí, mar shampla Droichead Coise Chairn Uí Néid, Inis Píc, Eispéireas Jameson, Páirc Dhúlra Fhóite, Caisleán cáiliúil An Bhlarna, Cúirt agus Páirc Dhúin ar Aill, gan ach cúpla ceann acu a lua. Tá 8 n-oileán in Iarthar Chorcaí, tá cónaí ar 7 gcinn acu agus a chultúr agus a stair uathúil féin ag gach uile cheann acu.

Tá roinnt seirbhísí fógartha go maith, mar shampla: Tithíocht, Bóithre, Pleanáil agus Comhshaol, ach tá raon de sheirbhísí ardchaighdeáin eile a chuirimid ar fáil dár bpobail, mar Leabharlanna, an tSeirbhís Dóiteáin, Maoiniú Pobail, LEADER, agus na hEalaíona agus an Oidhreacht.
