Temporary Closing of Public Roads

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L-6119-0 Church Street, Bandon, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 07:00hrs on Monday 8th of January 2024 to 07:00hrs on Thursday 29th of February 2024 (24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate construction of a pumping station.
Alternative Routes
Traffic intending to access Church Street from New Road (R603-0) shall divert south-west along the road, then turn right onto Church Lane South (L-2060-0) to approach the closed road from the opposite side.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local Access will only be maintained where it is possible.

L3234 Cork Street, Kinsale, Co. Cork – between Market Lane and Friar Street.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Tuesday 9th January 2023 to 19:00hrs on Thursday 11th January 2024 (Daily Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the extension of existing ducting for provision of broadband.
Alternative Routes
Market Lane L-9712, Friar street L-3234.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

From 08:00hrs on Tuesday 2nd January 2024 to 18:00hrs on Friday 26th January, 2024 (24hr Closure)
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate Installation of New Watermain.
Alternative Routes
From Killavullen continue west towards Mallow on L-1223-30. Take next left to L-1222-0 travelling south towards Rahan School. Turn left to L-12221-0.
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.
