Temporary Closing of Public Roads

ROADS ACT, 1993
TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

R-571-70 Eyeries, Co. Cork - at Inches, Bofickil & Faunkill and The Woods from the junction of R-571-70 and L-4908-0 at Inches to the junction of R-571-106 and L-4910-0 at Faunkill and The Woods.

Period of Proposed Closure 

From 10:00hrs on Tuesday 19th March 2024 to 17:00hrs on Friday 26th April 2024 (24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Road Surfacing and Drainage Works.

Alternative Routes

On the L-4908-0, L-4908-7, and L-4910-0 through Inches, Eyeries, Bofickil and Faunkill and The Woods.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Objections

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-5-2024 not later than 5pm on Wednesday 24th January 2024.  Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
