Temporary Closing of Public Roads

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Proposed Closure
L2994-0 Southern End (Ringmeen - Ballyleary Road), Cobh, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs to 17:00hrs (Daily Closure) on Wednesday 3rd April 2024 to Friday 5th April 2024.
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the construction of new underground service connections.
Alternative Routes
From the Southern End:
At the Junction of the L-2994-0 and the L-2965-0 (adjacent Kirkwood Villas) head west for approximately 450m and take a right turn into Cluain Ard Estate. Continue along the main circulation road within Cluain Ard Estate via Beechwood Avenue and Cedar Avenue until you meet the Junction with the L-2994-0 (Ringmeen – Ballyleary Rd).
The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-15-2024, not later than 5.00pm on Thursday 29th February 2024. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.

L-7642-0 (Hedgy Boreen), Ballyadam, Carrigtohill, Co. Cork.
Period of Proposed Closure
From 08:00hrs on Wednesday 10th April 2024 to 18:00hrs on Friday 12th April 2024
(24hr Closure).
Reason for Proposed Closure
To facilitate the completion of a water connection to a new development.
Alternative Routes
From the southern side of L-7642-0 (Hedgy Boreen)
From the N25, continue eastwards towards L-3618 junction. Turn left onto L-3618-0 (Water-Rock Road). Continue to T-junction and turn left onto L-3617 (Carrigane Road) towards Carrigtohill.
From the northern side of L-7642-0 (Hedgy Boreen)
Head west along the L-3617 (Carrigane Rd) towards Carrigtwohill. Turn left onto L-3680, Middleton Road and onto N25 towards L-7642 (Hedgy Boreen).
Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
