Passage West Creates was nominated for Creative Communities with Together at the Castle shortlisted for Community Wellbeing Initiative.

The year was the 22nd year of the competition which is sponsored by IPB Insurance and run by Co-Operation Ireland. Communities are marked on oral presentations to the judges, exhibitions of community activities and culture as well as a tour of the area highlighting the aspects of which they are particularly proud.

Mayor Carroll said,

It was an honour to celebrate the achievements of County Cork communities at the overall Pride of Place Awards in Monaghan. Our communities have so much to be proud of especially the hard work and dedication of the countless volunteers who go that extra mile to make a difference in their local area. It is always heartening to see our villages, towns and community organisations be recognised and rewarded nationally.
