Scéim Deontais Ealaíon Chomhairle Chontae Chorcaí Na hEalaíona atá bunaithe ar Ghaeilge

Iarrann Comhairle Contae Chorcaí ar thograí ó ealaíontóirí aonair, eagraíochtaí ealaíon gairmiúla, féilte agus grúpaí ealaíon deonacha d’imeachtaí, tionscadail nó gníomhaíochtaí ealaíon atá bunaithe i nGaeilge. Is í aidhm an snáithe maoinithe seo ná tacú le saothar nua a chruthú nó imeacht, tionscadal nó gníomhaíocht ealaíon atá bunaithe ar an nGaeilge a chur chun cinn.
Is é cuspóir an mhaoinithe seo ná:
- Chun tacú le himeachtaí, tionscadail nó gníomhaíochtaí ealaíon nua a bhunú, agus chun tacú leo siúd atá ann cheana féin, agus iad a chur chun cinn mar imeachtaí neamhspleácha nó mar chuid de chlár bliantúil eagraíochta ealaíon gairmiúla, féile nó grúpa ealaíon deonach, nó ó ealaíontóir aonair.
- Leibhéil níos airde rannpháirtíochta cruthaithí sna healaíona a spreagadh ó ealaíontóirí agus baill den phobal trí mheán na Gaeilge
- Lucht féachana/éisteachta nua a fhorbairt agus lucht féachana/éisteachta atá ann cheana féin a chothú do na healaíona tríd an nGaeilge, trí shaothair ealaíne agus / nó modhanna rannpháirtíochta nua a chruthú don phobal agus do phobail spriocdhírithe chun taitneamh a bhaint as eispéireas cultúrtha trí mheán na Gaeilge.
- Cabhraíonn sé le Comhairle Contae Chorcaí a seirbhísí cultúrtha a sholáthar ar bhealach níos cothroime trí ghníomhaíochtaí nua ealaíon a sholáthar, ag díriú ar ghrúpaí pobail ar leith, nó trí rochtain ar ghníomhaíochtaí ealaíon bunaithe ar Ghaeilge a mhéadú, go pearsanta agus ar líne araon.
- Chun ealaíontóirí agus eagraíochtaí ealaíon agus grúpaí ealaíon deonacha a cur ar a gcumas oibriú le chéile le pobail chun léiriúcháin, gníomhaíochtaí agus imeachtaí nua a fhorbairt ag úsáid na Gaeilge.
Is é an príomhchuspóir atá againn ná gníomhaíocht ealaíon atá bunaithe ar theangacha a chur chun cinn trí Ghaeilge agus is féidir go n-áireofaí modhanna mar - amharclannaíocht agus drámaíocht, scéalaíocht, puipéadóireacht, aithriseoireacht, amhránaíocht, ceoldráma, beochan, ealaíona sráide, scannánaíocht agus litríocht a chur san áireamh. Ní fhéadfar foirmeacha / tionscadail ealaíne nach bhfuil bunaithe ar theanga a mheas faoin snáithe maoinithe seo.

- Grúpaí a gcuireann an Ghaeilge chun cinn nár ghlac páirt sna healaíona roimhe seo, a bhfuil moladh acu imeachtaí, tionscadail nó gníomhaíochtaí ealaíon Gaeilge-bhunaithe ar leith a chruthú nó a chur chun cinn.
Beidh na Critéir Measúnaithe seo a leanas san áireamh:
- Féideartha don tionscadal maoinithe chun rannpháirtíocht phoiblí sna healaíona a spreagadh trí mheán na Gaeilge
- Luach an tionscadail atá beartaithe chun an teanga a chur chun cinn go dearfach
- Samhlaíocht agus nuálaíocht an tionscadail atá beartaithe
Buiséad/ Budget
Faigheann an scéim seo maoiniú ó Oifig na Gaeilge Chomhairle Contae Chorcaí.
- I gcásanna ina mbeartaítear léiriúcháin eiseach atá bunaithe ar Ghaeilge, ní bheidh níos mó ná 50% de chostas iomlán an léiriúcháin incháilithe, faoi réir teorainn fhoriomlán € 1,000 d'aon tionscadal amháin.
- I gcás go bhféadfadh grúpa nó cuideachta a mholadh go ndéanfaí léiriúcháin nó imeacht nua a fhorbairt, féadfar iarratas a dhéanamh ag lorg suas le 60% de na costais den togra, go dtí uasmhéid €1,500 a mheas
Cork County Council Irish Language based Arts
Guidelines
Cork County Council invites proposals from individual artists, professional arts organisations, festivals and Voluntary arts groups for Irish language-based arts events, projects or activities. The aim of this funding strand is to support the creation of new work or the promotion of an arts event, project or activity that is Irish language based.
The purpose of this funding is to:
- Support the creation or promotion of new or existing Irish language -based arts events, projects or activities as either standalone events or as part of an annual programme of a professional arts organisation, festival or voluntary arts group, or by an individual artist.
- Encourage higher levels of creative participation in the arts by artists and members of the community through the medium of Irish.
- Develop new audiences and sustain existing audiences for the arts through the Irish language, through the creation of new artworks and / or engagement methods for the public and targeted communities to enjoy cultural experiences through the medium of Irish.
- Assist Cork County Council in delivering its cultural services more equitably through the provision of new arts activities, targeting specific community groups, or through increasing access to Irish language based arts activities, both in-person and online.
- Enable artists and arts organisations and voluntary arts groups to work together and with communities to develop new productions, activities and events using the Irish language.
Our main objective is to promote language- based arts activity though Irish and can include idioms such as – theatre and drama, storytelling, puppetry, recitation, singing, opera, animation, street arts, film and literature. Non-language based art forms / projects may not be considered under this funding strand.
Sample range of target Arts Organisations and interest groups
- Festival organisers
- Amateur Theatre Groups
- Individual professional artists working in all Irish language-based art forms.
- Irish language promotion groups who have not previously participated in the arts, who have a proposal to create or promote specific Irish language-based arts events, projects or activities.
Assessment Criteria will include:
- The potential for the funded project to encourage public engagement in the arts through the medium of Irish.
- The value of the proposed project to positively promote the language.
- The imagination and innovation of the proposed project.
Budget
This scheme is supported by funding from the Irish language Office of Cork County Council.
- In situations where an existing Irish Language based production is proposed, not more than 50% of the total cost of the production will be eligible, subject to an overall limit of €1,000 for any one project.
- Where a group or company might propose to develop a new production or event, proposals seeking up to 60% of costs, to a maximum of €1,500 may be considered.
Deadline for receipt of applications: Thursday, January 9th 2025
- We strongly advise making your application ahead of the deadline to avoid any difficulties with uploading times.
- We also advise that you keep a copy of all material submitted.
- When you are satisfied that you have uploaded all information you need for your application, click Submit.
- Once submitted, your application can not be amended. Do not submit your application until you are completely satisfied.
- If the application is successfully submitted you will receive a confirmation email and an application reference number. This mail can sometimes be classified as spam and may be directed to your spam folder.
- If you do not receive a confirmation email then the application has not reached us and you should consider resubmitting.
- We regret that late applications cannot be submitted.
Accessible Applications
The option to submit a video or audio proposal is available for people with additional needs. Audio instructions is available to guide you through the application and outline the information that must be included on each funding scheme. Video or audio applications must be submitted as a link to an external site with any required passwords.
