Call for Artists for Clonakilty Public Art Scheme

Cork County Council and the OPW, under the State’s Per Cent for Arts Scheme, have announced a call for submissions for a public art commission as part of the Clonakilty Flood Relief Scheme.
Per Cent for Art is a government initiative where 1% of the cost of any publicly funded capital, infrastructural and building development can be allocated to the commissioning of a work of art.
The commission is open to all art forms and the work can be permanent or temporary. The Croppy Park, Clonakilty has been selected as the location for outdoor artwork.
Launching the call out, Mayor of County Cork Cllr. Joe Carroll remarked:
Cork County Council is seeking creative proposals from professional artists or artist collectives that support creative placemaking and connection to the wider environmental concerns that the flood relief scheme engages with in Clonakilty.
The deadline for applications is Monday, the 7th of April 2025. For more information please click below.
There will be a site visit to Croppy Park, Clonakilty on Monday, the 10th of March from 12.00pm to 1.00pm. Interested parties are asked to email [email protected] to register.
