Cork County Council Hosts Tidy Towns Showcase and Workshops

Cork County Council hosted a celebratory event for Tidy Towns groups across the county to recognise their remarkable dedication to enhancing the beauty, sustainability, and sense of community in Cork’s towns and villages. The event, held at County Hall, brought together representatives from Tidy Towns groups and expert speakers to share achievements, exchange ideas, and inspire future initiatives.

Three Storytellers for the West Cork Islands

Cork County Council has announced a Storytellers in Residence Programme for the West Cork Islands. Supported by Creative Places West Cork Islands, an Arts Council-funded initiative that aims to build sustained arts investment and create opportunities for local arts programmes.

Cork County Council Storm Éowyn Update – Friday 12pm

Cork County Council crews are in response mode to the damage caused by Storm Éowyn across the county. 

Road conditions remain extremely challenging with fallen trees, fallen powerlines and substantial debris. The Council urges people not to undertake any travel unless absolutely necessary.

Cork County Council Announces €1.8 million Fund to Support Communities

Cork County Council has announced support of over €1.8 million to enhance community engagement and facilities in 2025. The Community Fund Scheme supports a range of projects and initiatives by local voluntary groups and organisations each year and opens for applications on Monday the 13th of January.
