Temporary Closing of Public Roads

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

Road Subject of Proposed Closure

R620 – Mallow Bridge.

Period of Proposed Closure

From 19:00hrs on Friday 27^th August 2021 to 19:00hrs on Monday 30^th August 2021.

From 19:00hrs on Friday 3^rd September 2021 to 19:00hrs on Monday 6^th September 2021.

From 19:00hrs on Friday 10^th September 2021 to 19:00hrs on Monday 13^th September 2021.

From 19:00hrs on Friday 17^th September 2021 to 19:00hrs on Monday 20^th September 2021.

(24hr Closure).

Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Bridge lift and associated works in relation to the construction of the boardwalk.

Alternative Routes

Traffic travelling from south of Mallow shall divert via the R619-399 (Mill Road) to the N20 (Limerick). Traffic shall leave the N20 at the Annabella Roundabout and travel onto the N72-378 (Annabella Tce), from here traffic shall turn right onto the N72-380 (Park Road).

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC-85-2021, not later than 5pm on Thursday 5^th August 2021. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
