Proposed School Street, School Zone, and associated traffic calming works at Main Street R618-316, L-9301-0 Chapel Hill, L-3414-41 New Road, and L-93082-0 Duggans Lane, at Sleaveen East, Macroom, Co Cork.

Pursuant to the provisions of Section 38 of the Road Traffic Act, 1994, Cork County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to implement a School Street and a School Zone and associated traffic calming works on the L-9301-0 Chapel Hill and L-3414-41 New Road; and associated traffic calming works at Main Street R618-316, and L-93082-0 Duggans Lane. The scheme will comprise a one-way system westbound on New Road (L-3414-41) between Chapel Hill (L-9301-0) and Sleaveen Road (L-3414-38).

Drawings and particulars indicating the proposals are available for inspection at Cork County Council, Macroom Municipal District Office, Town Hall, The Square, Macroom, Co. Cork, P12YX48 and may be inspected during normal office hours from Friday 13th December 2024 to Friday 24th January 2025 inclusive.

Submissions regarding the proposal may be made via email to sustainabletravelunit@corkcoco.ie or in writing to the Senior Engineer, Sustainable Travel Unit, Cork County Council, Floor 2, County Hall, Carrigrohane Road, Cork, T12 R2NC on, or before, 5 pm on Friday, 24th January 2025.
