The Arts Office, as part of the County Library Service, is responsible for the delivery of the Arts across County Cork.

Our aims are to:

Support development of Arts at a local level

Support emerging and established creative artists in County Cork

Develop new audiences for the Arts

Foster and encourage excellence in the Arts

Advocate for the local Arts sector on a local, national, and international level

Support the Arts through provision of resources, services and communication of funding opportunities.

Exhibition Celebrating our Clothing Heritage Opens at Kinsale Library

An inspiring new exhibition that explores Ireland’s rich textile heritage will open in Kinsale Library on the 17th of April. The exhibition ‘A Stitch in Time: The Clothes We Wore, The Future We Weave’ revisits practices from the past to inspire a more sustainable future.

Stranger than Fiction: Online Non-fiction Events Series - Eimear Ryan

On Monday 26th May, Cork based writer Eimear Ryan will discuss her book, The Grass Ceiling: on being a woman in sport. Eimear’s book explores women’s experiences in the sporting world. It digs deep into the confluence of gender and sport, and all the questions it throws up about identity, status, competition and self-expression.
