Cork County Council Update Ahead of Orange Weather Warning

Cork County Council’s Severe Weather Assessment Team convened this afternoon following the issuing of a Met Éireann Status Orange Rainfall Warning for Cork.  The Status Orange warning is in effect from 8.00am to 6.00pm tomorrow Sunday, September 29th. Widespread persistent rain is forecast with some intense downpours expected.

Cork County Council Update in Advance of Orange Weather Warning

A Met Éireann Status Orange Rain warning for Cork will come into effect on Sunday at 12:00 noon and will remain in effect until 00:00 on Monday morning. Spells of heavy rain may lead to some localised flooding, poor visibility and difficult driving conditions. This will be preceded by a status yellow rain warning which will be in effect on Sunday from 00:00 to 12:00 noon.

Cork County Council Announces 23 Affordable Homes in Carrigtwohill

A new affordable housing development in Carrigtwohill will open for applications in two weeks’ time. Cork County Council is inviting prospective homeowners to apply for the new three bed houses at Baile Adaim, which are being offered at a discounted rate, from 12 noon on Monday the 7th of October 2024.
